Meet Áine

Hi, I’m Áine! I took my first international trip at six-weeks old and have been traveling ever since. After completing graduate school in Dublin, Ireland, I returned to my hometown of Seattle, WA, where I began a career in the travel industry working for local icon Rick Steves. Since then I have worked in various sectors across the industry, from land tours to cruises to luxury private travel.

I have always loved using my expertise and connections to help my friends and family have the best possible experiences when they travel. And I want that for you, too. My business thrives on word of mouth, and I treat every client like a friend.

When not on the road, you can find me at home in Las Vegas with my wife and our cat, Oscar. In 2026 I decided to combine my passions for reading and Ireland by tackling James Joyce’s opus Ulysses and forming a Ulysses reading group. I also enjoy baking bread and sweet treats, learning about and drinking wine, patronizing the arts, and watching women’s sports.

Some recent favorite trips

On our Panama and Costa Rica cruise with Ponant, we spent our days swimming in crystalline waters and watching wildlife. One memorable afternoon hiking in the Costa Rican forest as the rain poured, howler monkeys screamed right over our heads. Luckily they are gentle creatures whose bark is worse than their bite!

Two polar bears walking on ice near snow-covered terrain in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada.

Floating the Nile with Uniworld River Cruises, we saw ancient temples and monuments that defied description, walked in the footsteps of King Tut and Cleopatra and marveled at incredible feats of modern engineering and international cooperation, like the reconstructed temples of Abu Simbel.

In honor of a milestone birthday, we are off to India! With the assistance of my friends at Ventours, we will spend two weeks searching for tigers in Ranthambore National Park, soaking in beauty and romance of the Taj Mahal, sipping tea in Darjeeling and more.

A bucket list trip for me was a polar bear safari in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada with Frontiers North Adventures. As we explored the area in our tundra buggy, our group saw more than 60 bears, including pairs of siblings and mothers with their cubs. I was so moved when we saw our first polar bear up close that I cried.
